Job summary

Prodege, LLC is seeking a Principal Data Engineer to shape the future of data across analytics, experimentation, ML and BI. You will own the data stack end to end—from platform architecture and data modeling to pipeline delivery, governance, observability, and the business outcomes these systems enable.

You’ll support a business serving 120M+ users with $2B+ in lifetime rewards and a 400TB data footprint. This is a deeply hands-on leadership role: build and modernize pipelines, set platform

Qualifications

• 6+ years hands-on data engineering in high-scale environments (AdTech/MarTech or consumer internet preferred).
• Strong SQL, Python, Snowflake, and dbt proficiency.
• Experience designing modern data platforms at scale with batch and near-real-time pipelines.
• Knowledge of Medallion architecture, data contracts and schema evolution.
• Ability to mentor teams and drive AI-first data initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, build, and evolution of the next-generation data platform across Snowflake, dbt, Iceberg, Trino, Kafka, and related technologies.
• Personally drive critical implementations and modernize legacy pipelines for scale.
• Build and optimize high-scale batch, ELT, and near-real-time pipelines for BI, product, experimentation, and ML.
• Establish durable platform patterns around Medallion architecture, data contracts, schema management, lineage, observability, and governance.
• Design scalable data models and data marts to support reporting, self-serve analytics, and ML workloads.
• Make key tooling, orchestration, storage, performance, reliability, and cost decisions.
• Partner with ML, BI, Product, Engineering, Analytics, and business teams to turn needs into designs.
• Drive AI-first mindset with AI-assisted development, testing, and documentation.
