Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
• 10+ years in data engineering, warehousing, data integration, or data architecture.
• 3+ years in technical leadership, lead engineer, solution architect, or similar role.
• Proven experience architecting and delivering enterprise‑scale data platforms and integration solutions.
• Strong SQL and at least one modern language (Python, Scala, Java, or C#).
• Experience with ETL/ELT design, data pipelines, orchestration, and workflow automation.
• Experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP cloud providers.
• Experience with modern data platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric, Synapse, BigQuery, or Redshift.
• Experience with orchestration/tools like Airflow, Data Factory, Step Functions, dbt, Dagster, or Prefect.
• Knowledge of Spark, Kafka, Flink, Hadoop, or similar distributed processing stacks.
• Experience designing batch and streaming data solutions.
• Understanding of dimensional modeling, lakehouse and data warehouse design.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end‑to‑end architecture, design, and delivery of enterprise data engineering and analytics solutions for client engagements.
• Serve as a trusted technical advisor to client stakeholders, including technology and data leaders.
• Facilitate discovery sessions, requirements workshops, and architecture reviews.
• Translate business goals into practical data strategies, roadmaps, and reference architectures.
• Define scalable, secure architectures for ingestion, storage, governance, and analytics.
• Remain hands‑on in engineering work, including pipelines, code reviews, and POC development.
• Architect and implement batch, real‑time, streaming, and event‑driven data solutions.
• Lead cross‑functional delivery teams (onshore/offshore) and mentor engineers.
• Present recommendations and status to technical and executive audiences.
• Contribute to pre‑sales, RFP responses, estimates, and SOW development.
