Job summary

Google Global Fleet-OneSource is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to define the data engineering vision and architecture for enterprise-scale AI/ML workloads. You will architect scalable data lake solutions and collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on strategy and delivery.

You will lead data-centric initiatives, drive adoption of new data frameworks, and influence partners across AI2 and GGI to ensure reliable capacity planning and performance at scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• 15 years of software engineering experience.
• Proven leadership and clear communication across teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the solution architecture for information engineering to deliver 100x capacity for AI/ML demand growth.
• Leverage full software stack across backend, frontend and data engineering.
• Partner across AI2 and Google Global Infrastructure to define data flows and interfaces.
• Guide design and implementation to uplift delivery speed for the next decade.
