Nexaminds is seeking a Principal Data Engineer to design, build, and evolve scalable data solutions in a Databricks and Azure ecosystem. You will set data modeling standards and guide engineers while aligning with broader enterprise architecture.

The role demands deep hands-on experience with Databricks and Azure, plus strong data modeling and architecture skills to drive reliable, scalable data platforms and pipelines.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Data Engineering or related field.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks in enterprise data environments.
• Experience with Azure data services (ADF, Synapse, SQL, etc.).
• Strong data modeling expertise across conceptual, logical, and physical levels.
• Ability to design scalable, reliable data platforms.
• Experience leading engineers and setting standards.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable data solutions using Databricks and Azure.
• Maintain enterprise data modeling standards.
• Lead data pipelines design, transformations, and integration.
• Evaluate requirements and recommend architectures.
• Set scalability, performance, reliability standards.
• Partner with architects to align with enterprise architecture.
• Provide technical leadership to Senior Data Engineers.
• Identify opportunities to improve platform performance and reliability.
• Troubleshoot complex data issues.
• Contribute to architectural decisions across data initiatives.
• Support modernization and cloud migration efforts.
• Ensure security, quality, and governance standards.
