Job summary

Vomela Commercial Group in the United States is seeking a Principal Data Engineer to set the data strategy, own the data platform end to end, and influence the broader data organization.

You will design dimensional models, build semantic layers, and implement SCD strategies while leading real-time and batch pipelines using Fabric, Kafka, and Delta Lake. A strong production mindset is required.

Qualifications

• Experience with Microsoft Fabric data platform and Lakehouses.
• Strong Power BI report development and semantic modeling.
• SQL query optimization and schema design.
• Azure DevOps CI/CD for data pipelines.
• Experience with Confluent Cloud / Kafka for streaming.
• Certifications in Microsoft Fabric or Azure Data Engineer are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement dimensional models and semantic layers.
• Build and maintain real-time and batch data pipelines.
• Own master data engineering and data contracts across domains.
• Drive data quality, governance, and performance tuning across the stack.
• Support reporting via Power BI and SQL endpoints.
