Job summary

Tendo is seeking a Principal Data Analyst to lead analyses of hospital quality performance and national rankings for health system customers, including CMS Star Ratings, USNWR Best Hospitals, Leapfrog, and CMS pay-for-performance programs. You will design dashboards, validate methodologies, and translate complex results into clear recommendations for pre-sales, sales, and executive leadership.

You will mentor analysts, partner with Data Scientists and Process Improvement Consultants, and help

Qualifications

7+ years of healthcare data analytics experience focusing on hospital quality measurement.
Hands-on with national quality rankings such as CMS Star Ratings, USNWR Best Hospitals, Leapfrog.
Experience with Medicare claims (MedPAR) and CMS data.
Strong SQL and Python or R for analysis.
Ability to translate business questions into analytic plans.

Responsibilities

Own data sourcing, cleaning, and QA and set validation standards for outputs.
Design, build, and maintain reporting, dashboard, and benchmarking tools.
Present findings to customer and internal leadership, supporting pre-sales, sales, renewals, and ongoing engagements.
Partner with Data Scientists and Process Improvement Consultants on methodology and delivery.
Mentor analysts and build repeatable analytic processes for the team.
