Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Principal Data Analyst to transform high-volume transactional data into analytical assets across the Global Payment Network. You will shape data strategy, architecture, and modeling for core networks, in collaboration with product and analytics teams.

You will focus on innovation, BI, and data management, using Python/R/Spark/SQL, AWS, and data warehouses to deliver dashboards, insights, and governance across platforms and services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in quantitative field plus at least 5 years of data analytics experience, or Master’s Degree plus at least 3 years.
• At least 3 years of experience in scripting (Python, R, Spark, SQL).
• At least 3 years of experience with a business intelligence visualization tool.
• At least 3 years of experience querying and analyzing data using data languages and platforms.

Responsibilities

• Innovate by mining diverse data sources and building self-service data capabilities.
• Partner with business to design dashboards and metrics for insights and decision-making.
• Drive data quality, metadata, lineage and governance with cross-functional teams.
