Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Principal Data Analyst for the Global Payment Network in a data-driven, multi-location role. You will transform massive transactional data into insights, shaping data strategy and modeling across platforms.

You will collaborate with product teams, implement BI dashboards, and ensure data quality and governance while leveraging AWS and open-source tools to enable self-service analytics for stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative field with progressive data analytics experience.
• 5+ years of data analytics experience or 3+ years with Master’s degree.
• 3+ years of experience with scripting languages and BI visualization tools.
• Experience with querying, analyzing and working with data languages and platforms.
• Experience using AWS services and data governance concepts preferred.

Responsibilities

• Mine massive, high-volume data streams and transform them into analytical assets.
• Build data solutions and self-service capabilities for data consumers.
• Partner with product and business teams to define metrics and dashboards.
• Drive data quality, metadata, lineage, and governance across platforms.
