Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Principal Data Analyst to leverage analytic and technical skills to build and maintain data solutions that tackle business problems. The role participates in Innovation, BI, and Data Management, with a hybrid work arrangement.

The ideal candidate has strong scripting (Python, R, Spark, SQL), experience with AWS services and data platforms, and a background in quantitative fields. Sponsorship is possible; salary ranges by location are provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in statistics, economics, operations research, analytics, mathematics, CS or related field with 5+ years analytics experience, or Master’s with 3+ years analytics and degree to be completed on time.
• At least 3 years of experience with at least one scripting language.
• At least 3 years of experience using a BI visualization tool.
• At least 3 years of experience querying, analyzing, and working with data languages and platforms.

Responsibilities

• Innovate with open-source and digital technologies to mine diverse data sources and platforms.
• Build well-managed data solutions and self-service frameworks for data consumers.
• Partner with business to design dashboards and metrics for insights and data visualization.
