Build the Data & Analytics Foundation for a Growing Enterprise!
Archwest Capital is seeking a highly technical Principal Data & Analytics Engineer to help architect and build the next generation of our enterprise data and analytics platform.
This is a senior, hands-on individual contributor role. You'll personally design data architecture, build modern data pipelines, develop executive dashboards, and deliver analytics solutions that drive business decisions across the company.
Working closely with Technology leadership and executives across Finance, Capital Markets, Operations, Servicing, Asset Management, Accounting, and Sales, you'll transform enterprise data into trusted business intelligence while establishing the technical foundation for our long-term
Data & Analytics practice.

What You'll Do
As a Principal Data & Analytics engineering resource, you will:
- Architect and build our enterprise data platform, reporting ecosystem, and analytics infrastructure.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using modern data engineering tools.
- Build and optimize enterprise data warehouse solutions and governed datasets.
- Integrate Salesforce, lending systems, financial platforms, APIs, and third-party data sources.
- Develop executive dashboards, operational reporting, and self-service analytics solutions.
- Translate complex business problems into scalable data solutions and actionable insights.
- Establish enterprise reporting standards, KPI definitions, data governance, and data quality best practices.
- Optimize SQL performance, database architecture, and data reliability.
- Evaluate AI-enabled analytics, predictive modeling, and intelligent automation opportunities.
- Partner directly with executive leadership to support strategic initiatives and improve decision-making.
- Help define the long-term enterprise data strategy and technology roadmap.
- Mentor future analysts and engineers as the team expands.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for an experienced engineer who enjoys solving complex business problems through data and engineering.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, Analytics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, Business Intelligence, or related disciplines.
- Expert-level SQL skills with deep experience in relational database design, optimization, and performance tuning.
- Hands-on experience building modern ETL/ELT pipelines using technologies such as Azure Data Factory or Snowflake.
- Experience designing enterprise data warehouses, semantic models, and scalable reporting architectures.
- Strong experience with enterprise BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts and analytical insights to executive leadership.
- Experience integrating Salesforce and other enterprise platforms using APIs and modern integration technologies.
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms within Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
- Proficiency with Python or similar scripting languages for automation, analytics, and data processing.
- Experience using Git, CI/CD, and modern software development practices.
- Strong understanding of enterprise data governance, metadata, lineage, and data quality.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within lending, mortgage, financial services, banking, commercial real estate, or investment management.
- Experience supporting Capital Markets, Finance, or Executive reporting.
- Knowledge of loan servicing, portfolio analytics, underwriting, or production reporting.
- Experience implementing enterprise reporting strategies or Business Intelligence Centers of Excellence.
- Experience evaluating or implementing AI-enabled analytics and intelligent automation solutions.

Salary range for this position is $150k - $175k
