Job summary

Canvas II, LLC in Huntsville seeks a Principal Data Analytics Engineer to lead analytical tool development for enterprise data visualization. You will act as a senior technical authority, using Palantir Foundry to build interactive dashboards and scalable tools that convert complex data into executive visuals.

Qualifications include U.S. citizenship, a STEM Master's with 12+ years (or a STEM Bachelor's with 20+ years), and the ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance.

  • Ability to develop analytical and visualization tools.
  • Ability to work proactively and independently with minimal supervision.
  • Active security clearance at the required level (e.g., TS/SCI) or ability to obtain.

  • Lead analytical tool development to enable enterprise data visualization efforts.
  • Leverage Palantir Foundry to create sophisticated dashboards and transferable visual products.
  • Design, build, and maintain scalable scheduling and analytical tools for continuous tracking.
  • Provide database management support and assist with SharePoint administration.

Job description

Responsibilities

The Principal Data Analytics Engineer will serve as a senior technical authority responsible for analytical tool development to enable enterprise data visualization efforts. Duties include:

  • Leveraging the MDA instantiation of Palantir's "Foundry" software to develop sophisticated analytical tools and interactive dashboards, converting complex datasets into clear, actionable executive-level visual products
  • Designing, building, and maintaining scalable scheduling and analytical tools enabling continuous tracking and optimization
  • Providing periodic database management support and assisting with SharePoint site administration
  • Operating independently - translating abstract, high-level objectives into complete, functioning tools without step-by-step guidance
Basic Qualifications
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Master’s degree in a STEM field and 12+ years of engineering experience - Alternatively: Bachelor’s degree in STEM and 20+ years of experience may be considered
  • Ability to develop analytical and visualization tools
  • Ability to work proactively and independently with minimal supervision
  • Active security clearance at the required level (e.g., TS/SCI) or ability to obtain this clearance
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting database administration
  • Strong ability to synthesize technical data into executive-level products
  • Familiarity with missile defense or other complex DoD program environments
