AT&T is seeking a Principal Data/AI Engineer for full-time onsite work in Middletown, NJ and Plano, TX. The role focuses on enterprise AI and data platforms, pipelines, and AI workflows to enable reliable, scalable operations.

You will collaborate with data scientists, AI engineers, software developers, and business stakeholders to operationalize AI solutions and ensure production excellence across cloud environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems or related technical field preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in data engineering, AI/ML operations, platform engineering, analytics engineering, or related tech.
• Experience supporting enterprise-scale AI, ML, and data platforms in production.
• Relevant cloud, AI, data engineering, or platform certifications may be required based on business needs.
• Strong knowledge of AI platforms, AI tooling, and MLOps frameworks.
• Experience designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and AI workflows.
• Proficiency with cloud-based data and AI ecosystems (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud).
• Experience supporting model deployment, monitoring, performance optimization, and production readiness.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and modern data engineering technologies.

Responsabilités

• Designs, implements, and maintains data pipelines, platform automation, AI workflows, and operational processes.
• Monitors platform health, ensures data quality, manages production support activities, and drives improvement of AI and data services.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to operationalize AI capabilities and deliver business value.
• Collaborate with data scientists, AI engineers, software developers, and business stakeholders to operationalize AI solutions.
