Job Overview

The Cybersecurity Engineer is a vital member of our Cybersecurity Platform Engineering team. You will be responsible for delivering, configuring, and supporting critical security tools, ensuring they meet high security standards. Your role includes deploying and supporting the Secure Browser platform and troubleshooting related technologies.

This position serves as a subject matter expert, driving vision and results to enhance security within endpoints, proxies, web technologies, and other business units as needed. Familiarity with SASE solutions is a plus.

Job Responsibilities:
  1. Lead the deployment of Secure Browser across the enterprise, collaborating with IT, Security, and End User Computing teams to align strategies with business and compliance needs. Ensure performance and user experience are validated across user segments.
  2. Foster cross-functional partnerships to address customer requirements, lead large-scale analysis efforts, and use data to make strategic decisions. Build long-term relationships with stakeholders and address their responses effectively.
  3. Develop strategies and design solutions for Endpoint Security, Enterprise Browser, and Data Loss Prevention (DLP).
  4. Manage deployment and maintenance of the Enterprise Browser organization-wide.
  5. Guide planning and deployment of security capabilities for endpoints, DLP, and enterprise browsers.
  6. Investigate security needs, recommend plans, and implement security improvements.
  7. Maintain visibility and interface with various groups including executive levels, application support, engineering, finance, privacy, and risk management.
  8. Analyze underlying technologies for endpoint security and web-based security controls to protect assets and the T-Mobile brand.
  9. Identify development areas, stay updated on industry trends, and lead actions to address gaps.
  10. Demonstrate knowledge in building, testing, and implementing enterprise defenses against adversaries.
  11. Mentor peers and junior staff in security technologies, solution design, SDLC, and customer interactions.
  12. Configure and test policies for web access, DLP controls, watermarking, and other security measures.
Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or equivalent experience.

Experience:

  • 7-10 years in security-related software or business process design.
  • 4-7 years in project/team leadership, SDLC, and solution design.
  • Technical project management experience.
  • Leadership experience.
  • Expertise in security subject areas, high-level architecture, networking, web services, and SOA.
  • Knowledge of network/security technologies like firewalls, SSL, vulnerability analysis, etc.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Deep knowledge of current security trends.
  • Ability to create specifications and work independently.
  • Strong communication skills for diverse audiences.
  • Act with tact and integrity, collaborate effectively.
  • Self-motivated, problem-solving skills, organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of security best practices, industry standards, and standards advocacy.
  • Presentation skills, understanding of load balancers, firewalls, cloud platforms, and scripting tools.
  • Understanding of network elements and compliance regulations.
Certifications (Preferred):

CISSP, CCSK, CCSP, CISA, or CISM.

Compensation:

Base Pay Range: $127,800 - $230,700

Bonus Target: 20%
