Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal Cybersecurity Analyst in support of the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC) at Wright Patterson Air Force Base. NASIC is responsible for creating all-source intelligence defining the present and future air, air defense, cyber, space, and ballistic missile threats to enable military operations, force modernization, and policy making. The candidate should have a track record as an effective communicator and problem solver, and possess broad knowledge of IT security principles, including systems and database software, storage technology, risk evaluation, vulnerability mitigation, and IT security tools.
Summary of Responsibilities
Will serve as Information System Security Officer (ISSO) and operate as part of a team. Daily tasks will include managing software and information system certifications and approvals, incident response coordination, workforce cybersecurity training, and maintenance and content updates of cybersecurity websites.
Basic Qualifications for a Principal Cybersecurity Analyst:
One of the following:
High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 9 years related experience.
Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years related experience.
Master’s degree with a minimum of 3 years related experience.
Active Department of Defense (DoD) Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security clearance.
Must have active Counter-Intelligence Polygraph.
IAT Level II certification such as SecurityX (formerly CASP+) or Security+ with knowledge in securing operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux), databases (e.g., SQL, Oracle), and network devices (routers, switches).
Understanding of network protocols, TCP/IP, routing, and switching.
Understanding of security technologies, such as IDS/IPS, SIEM, vulnerability scanners, antivirus solutions, etc.
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with DoD systems and compliance requirements.
Experience with Security Tools such as Nessus, McAfee, Ivanti HEAT, Tanium, Solarwinds, Splunk.
Salary Range: $100,300 - $150,500
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.
