Prestigious Enterprise Company is currently seeking a Principal Cyber Defense Security Engineer with strong Python development and scripting experience. The candidate will architect, develop, and implement advanced technical solutions to support our cyber defense investigations and incident response teams. This role involves designing and implementing capabilities to detect and prevent cyber-attacks, optimize incident response, and improve mitigation, containment, and recovery processes.

Responsibilities:

• Solution Engineering: Design, develop, and deploy cyber defense tools, platforms, and capabilities supporting threat detection, incident response, and forensic investigations.
• Technical Leadership: Serve as a subject matter expert, providing guidance and insights on cyber defense engineering.
• Threat Analysis: Collaborate with operations to analyze threats and gaps, implementing measures to enhance defenses.
• Develop threat defense analytics to detect cyber-attacks against DDC.
• Build automation and orchestration procedures to support operations.
• Problem Solving: Troubleshoot complex challenges, identify root causes, and develop sustainable solutions.
• Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on cybersecurity trends and apply best practices.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate procedures and documentation.
• On-Call: Support incident response and automation opportunities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in relevant fields or military experience.
• 8+ years in cybersecurity engineering, detection, incident response, or similar roles.
• Extensive experience with Python for automation and development.
• Hands-on experience with security platforms like SIEM, SOAR, EDR, NGFW, and network monitoring tools.
• Experience with API integration for process automation.
• Building and deploying threat defense analytics and detection pipelines.
• Strong analytical and technical writing skills.
• Ability to work independently and lead projects.
• Cloud engineering experience.
• Experience with LLMs, ML, or advanced analytics in cybersecurity workflows.
