Job summary

M&T Bank in Buffalo, NY is seeking a senior Risk Analyst for Cybersecurity and AI initiatives. This role is four days onsite at Seneca One Buffalo with one remote day per week, and requires designing risk frameworks, controls, and governance.

You will partner with the CISO and senior leaders to assess threats, drive remediation, and ensure regulatory alignment. The position demands a deep background in technology risk, regulatory guidance, and strong communication with executive stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher with extensive technology risk experience.
• Expert knowledge of technology and cybersecurity risk principles.
• Experience coordinating with senior leadership on risk governance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement risk frameworks, controls, and standards for Cybersecurity and AI.
• Act as a first line risk advisor to engineering and security teams.
• Lead assessments of regulatory guidance and industry developments.
• Design and improve risk management processes for evolving tech initiatives.
• Collaborate with CISO and senior leaders to provide risk-informed recommendations.
• Drive new controls addressing emerging risks and governance improvements.
• Lead audits, examinations, and remediation efforts with stakeholders.
• Coordinate across Technology, Cybersecurity, AI, Risk, Audit, and Regulatory functions.
• Monitor threat landscapes and integrate advanced risk management methods.
• Present risk assessments and recommendations to executives.
