Job summary

Micron Technology in San Jose seeks a strategic storyteller to own the corporate narrative and messaging across regions, business units, and channels. This role owns the master story and the single source of truth for messaging pillars, value proposition, vision, and mission.

You will partner with Corporate Campaigns, Content Strategy, Communications, and regional marketing teams to tailor the narrative for executives, Sales, and customers, while protecting core brand integrity.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or English.
  • Strong business acumen and broad understanding of semiconductor industry trends and product/technology leadership.
  • Comfortable making high-impact decisions with incomplete or ambiguous information, balancing short-term needs with long-term strategic objectives.
  • Proven track record to navigate a matrixed, large global organization.
  • Demonstrated portfolio of corporate or high-stakes narrative work.
  • Ability to work across multiple organizations to understand priorities and develop a compelling, coordinated story with supporting proof points.

Responsibilities

  • Own and evolve the core narrative framework.
  • Own the “Master Narrative” and develop, maintain, and evolve the core corporate messaging framework as the single source of truth for messaging pillars, value proposition, vision, and mission.
  • Update corporate narrative pillars and messaging to align to the current business environment.
  • Leverage understanding of key industry trends to ensure the narrative is relevant and impactful.
  • Leverage AI in work to drive efficiency, consistency, and speed across narrative development.
  • Build scalable messaging architecture and toolkits that connect product lines to the overarching corporate brand story.
  • Build narrative toolkits (e.g., message house, proof points, scalable AI agents) to reinforce key messages in external communications.
  • Equip Sales and internal employees with tools to tell the company story accurately (e.g., battle cards, elevator pitches, messaging guides, training workshops).
  • Coordinate with Communications to provide executives with curated talking points and materials for consistent delivery across internal and external engagements.
  • Drive content and messaging development for executive keynotes.
  • Partner with Communications, campaign teams, BUs, and regional teams to tailor the narrative for specific audiences without fracturing the core message.
  • Work with regional marketing leads to ensure the corporate narrative is culturally relevant and locally adaptable while maintaining core brand integrity.
  • Consult and support cross-functional teams to ensure technology narratives and messaging are coordinated across marketing and communications efforts.
  • Collaborate with market intelligence, corporate strategy, and business units to identify and update key industry data points, business landscape, and differentiation for messaging.
  • Implement feedback mechanisms from the field and the market to test and refine messaging effectiveness.

Micron Technology is a world leader in memory and storage solutions. We are seeking a strategic storyteller to own the development and evolution of our corporate narrative and messaging. This role owns the corporate “master story”—articulating who we are, what we stand for, and the value we deliver—while serving as a guardian of narratives and messages to ensure they are consistent, compelling, scalable, and adaptable across regions, business segments, and channels. You will partner with Corporate Campaigns, Content Strategy, Communications teams and collaborate with BUs, Sales, regional marketing, and other collaborators to drive message alignment and implementation.

Minimum Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience in marketing/communications in high-tech industries, driving messaging in a B2B technology environment, product marketing, or product management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or English.
  • Strong business acumen and broad understanding of semiconductor industry trends and product/technology leadership.
  • Comfortable making high-impact decisions with incomplete or ambiguous information, balancing short-term needs with long-term strategic objectives.
  • Proven track record to navigate a matrixed, large global organization.
  • Demonstrated portfolio of corporate or high-stakes narrative work.
  • Ability to work across multiple organizations to understand priorities and develop a compelling, coordinated story with supporting proof points.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master of Business Administration (MBA).
Compensation and Benefits

The US base salary range is $127,000.00 - $288,000.00 per year. Additional compensation may include benefits, bonuses and equity. Salary ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target base pay for new hire salaries across all US locations, with individual pay determined by location and other factors.
