About the Role

Our client, a prestigious management consultancy, is looking for a highly accomplished Principal Consultant to join their team, operating on a fully remote basis. This role is designed for an expert in operational excellence, process optimization, and supply chain management who can drive significant efficiency gains and cost reductions for clients. As a remote-first position, you will leverage technology to deliver world-class consulting services, collaborating with a diverse national clientele and a distributed team of experts. Your work will directly impact client profitability and operational effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead engagements focused on enhancing operational performance, streamlining business processes, and optimizing supply chains.
• Develop and implement data-driven strategies for continuous improvement, lean methodologies, and Six Sigma initiatives.
• Conduct comprehensive diagnostic assessments of client operations to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
• Design and execute process re-engineering projects, ensuring measurable improvements in productivity and quality.
• Advise clients on best practices in inventory management, logistics, and procurement.
• Facilitate virtual workshops and training sessions on operational excellence principles.
• Manage project teams, timelines, and budgets effectively, ensuring successful delivery of client objectives.
• Develop and deliver compelling executive-level presentations on findings and recommendations.
• Contribute to the firm's thought leadership in operational excellence and supply chain innovation.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in operational consulting, supply chain management, or process improvement, with at least 3 years in a senior or principal role.
• Proven expertise in Lean, Six Sigma (Black Belt certification preferred), and other operational excellence methodologies.
• Demonstrated ability to lead complex, large-scale operational transformation projects.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a deep understanding of operational data.
• Exceptional client management and communication skills, comfortable presenting to C-suite executives.
• Proficiency with process mapping tools and performance management systems.
• Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities effectively in a fully remote environment.
• Experience across multiple industries is highly desirable.
