Job description

Principal Consultant – Microsoft Defender / Intune | Remote, USA

This position is fully remote and open to candidates across the continental U.S.

The Principal Consultant will be key in defining solutions, guiding project teams, and managing customer relationships by providing advanced architecture, implementation, and operational support.

Acts as an industry leader and technical expert, delivering exceptional services to strategic clients and setting standards for excellence.

How you'll make an impact :

  • Collaborate with customers to articulate business requirements and translate them into security features and functionalities.
  • Design solutions that meet clients' risk transformation needs.
  • Develop cyber engagement plans to help clients execute their strategies.
  • Evaluate various security solutions against requirements, risks, and constraints.
  • Apply threat, vulnerability, and risk analysis methodologies in security architecture development.
  • Serve as a recognized expert across multiple solution areas.
  • Lead and deliver complex projects, mentoring other consultants.
  • Present confidently to large groups, establishing authority.
  • Handle challenging questions and maintain client support.
  • Adapt methodologies as needed.
  • Maintain broad awareness of the security and technology landscape.
  • Contribute to industry groups and publications.

What we're looking for :

  • Bachelor's degree with 10-15 years of related experience.
  • 8-10 years of technical architecture experience.
  • Expertise in Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), Mobile Device Management (MDM), and Application Control technologies.
  • Primary experience with Microsoft Defender and Intune (both on-premises and cloud).
  • Experience with CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, Tanium.
  • Desirable familiarity with security and enterprise architecture frameworks like SABSA, TOGAF, O-ESA.
  • Deep knowledge of security concepts such as vulnerability assessments, data classification, incident response, security policies, and governance.
  • Understanding of the services business and its organizational impact.
  • Strong networking, OS fundamentals, security technologies, and scripting skills.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance standards like PCI DSS, GDPR, and others.
  • Experience integrating data protection software into client infrastructure and designing network architectures.
  • Familiarity with operating systems, virtual environments, mainframe security, and databases.
  • Willingness to travel as needed; valid US driver's license and passport required.
  • Willingness to pursue certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and confidentiality skills.
