Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Principal Consultant based in the United States. The Principal Consultant plays a key role in delivering enterprise software implementations, driving professional services growth, and helping organizations transform their marketing operations. This fully remote position combines strategic business consulting, solution design, and hands‑on project management. You will guide customers from early planning and solution visioning through implementation, adoption, and value realization. Working closely with customers, internal teams, and implementation partners, you will ensure that technology solutions align with business objectives and deliver measurable results. The role also contributes to services sales, project delivery standards, and the continuous improvement of implementation practices. You will manage multiple engagements while building trusted relationships with stakeholders at all organizational levels. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced consultant who thrives in a collaborative, innovative, and autonomous environment.

Accountabilities
  • Support professional services sales activities by responding to requests for proposals and information (RFPs/RFIs), preparing service estimates, developing proposals, and delivering customer presentations.
  • Lead solution visioning, project definition, and value realization workshops to establish project roadmaps, define scope, and agree on success metrics.
  • Provide strategic advisory services throughout software implementation projects, including delivery assurance and guidance for alliance partners.
  • Build trusted advisor relationships with customers, ensuring implementation plans and technical solutions align with business objectives and operational needs.
  • Serve as project manager for assigned engagements, owning project plans, timelines, milestones, dependencies, and delivery outcomes.
  • Lead project kickoffs, status meetings, steering committee discussions, and executive communications to maintain alignment and transparency.
  • Manage project scope, budgets, resource hours, and contractual commitments while coordinating change control when requirements evolve.
  • Identify, document, monitor, and escalation project risks, issues, and decisions, ensuring appropriate actions are taken to resolve them.
  • Coordinate customer, internal, partner, onshore, and offshore resources to support efficient implementation delivery.
  • Maintain project documentation, financial forecasts, and delivery reports using established tools, methodologies, and standards.
  • Coordinate small teams responsible for application configuration and related implementation activities.
  • Manage a portfolio of concurrent projects with varying levels of scale and complexity, alternating between consulting and project management responsibilities as needed.
  • Collaborate with Customer Success teams to support smooth project handovers, sustained customer satisfaction, and continuity throughout the customer journey.
  • Participate in customer health checks and account recovery initiatives when necessary.
  • Develop and improve consulting methodologies, project management practices, delivery templates, and supporting tools.
  • Obtain and maintain relevant platform and marketing services certifications to strengthen product expertise and implementation capabilities.
  • Take on additional responsibilities as business and project needs evolve.
Requirements
  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • At least seven years of experience implementing digital asset management, marketing operations, or other business-to-business (B2B) software solutions.
  • At least three years of experience managing software implementation projects, including scope, schedule, budget, resource, and risk management.
  • Demonstrated experience developing proposals, estimating services, and communicating the business value of software solutions to customers.
  • Enterprise software implementation experience is an advantage.
  • Experience in marketing technology (MarTech), marketing operations, or related business functions is preferred.
  • Project management certification, such as PMP, PMI-ACP, or an equivalent credential, is beneficial.
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills, with the ability to lead customer discussions and adapt messaging to technical and business audiences.
  • Ability to move comfortably between hands‑on consulting, solution design, and project management responsibilities, including within the same engagement.
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines.
  • Strong analytical thinking, creative troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proven ability to understand customer business challenges, gather technical and operational requirements, and translate them into comprehensive solutions.
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to work effectively with technical and nontechnical audiences across different organizational levels.
  • A self‑directed and results‑oriented mindset, with the discipline to work independently and minimal day‑to‑day supervision.
  • Knowledge of marketing challenges and opportunities across industries, with the ability to connect software capabilities to measurable business outcomes.
  • Relevant platform certifications in Digital Asset Management, Marketing Productivity, or Plan & Spend, or a willingness to obtain them.
  • The ability to travel occasionally for business, with travel expected to be minimal and capped at approximately 10%.
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the role in a professional remote‑work environment, including extended computer use, communication with colleagues and customers, and occasional movement or lifting as required.
Benefits
  • Target annual base salary of $120,000-$150,000 USD, depending on relevant knowledge, skills, experience, job responsibilities, and other compensation considerations. This range is a guideline and does not guarantee a specific offer.

  • Health Savings Account (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) for eligible healthcare, dependent care, and commuter or transit expenses.
  • 401(k) retirement savings plan with employer matching: 100% match on the first 4% of compensation and 50% match on the next 2%.
  • Employer-paid basic life insurance equal to twice the employee’s base salary, with additional voluntary coverage options.

  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP), including mental health resources and therapy consultation.
  • Benefits coverage beginning on the first day of employment.
  • Fully remote work within the United States, with flexible scheduling to support work-life balance.
  • A collaborative and inclusive work culture that values autonomy, open communication, new ideas, and diverse perspectives.
  • Professional development opportunities, including access to an extensive online learning platform with more than 200,000 courses.
