Job summary

Rimkus Consulting Group seeks a Construction Expert to lead investigations of construction defects and provide clear, defensible opinions. You will analyze complex issues, report findings, and support litigation with expert testimony.

You will collaborate with clients and legal teams, maintain up-to-date industry knowledge, and manage multiple investigations with precision. A PE or GC license and a Bachelor's in engineering/architecture/construction management are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in engineering, architecture, or construction management.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or General Contractor (GC) license is required.
• Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills expected.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a Construction Expert to conduct investigations, analyze critical issues, and provide insightful recommendations in a fast-paced environment. This role is pivotal in identifying construction defects, performing comprehensive evaluations, and supporting litigation and insurance claims through detailed reporting and expert witness testimony.

• Conduct thorough investigations and evaluations of construction concerns and problems, including active or completed construction projects.
• Perform on-site investigations, review contracts and legal documents, and meticulously report findings.
• Provide expert witness testimony in legal disputes and insurance claims.
• Develop and present clear, concise, and defensible opinions regarding construction defects.
• Collaborate with clients, legal teams, and other stakeholders to achieve favorable outcomes
• Maintain a strong understanding of industry best practices, building codes, and relevant regulations.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple investigations simultaneously.
• Commitment to supporting the growth and development of the business.
