Northrop Grumman Space Systems—Launch and Missile Defense Systems has an exciting career opportunity for a Principal Configuration Analyst – Configuration Mgmt Analyst (25-127) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position, located in Colorado Springs, CO., plays a crucial role in our mission to support the U.S. president, secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels.

Position Overview

The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program integrates the Missile Defense System. It is a vital operational system that enables the U.S. president, secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels to systematically plan ballistic missile defense operations, to see the battle develop collectively, and to dynamically manage designated networked sensors and weapons systems to achieve global and regional mission objectives. C2BMC supports a layered missile defense capability that enables an optimized response to threats of all ranges in all phases of flight. C2BMC is the force multiplier globally and regionally. Networks integrate and synchronize autonomous sensor and weapon systems and operations to optimize performance. C2BMC is integral to all system ground and flight tests, which verify and exercise all current and future missile defense system capabilities.

Essential Functions

  • Assisting with defining and establishing the Configuration and Data Management infrastructure to satisfy the five pillars of CM
  • Perform SW Builds, Harvesting, and Release
  • Support program CDRL source code deliveries
  • Establish change orders and prepare change authorization and documentation by company and subcontractor personnel
  • Prepare reports of the change effect on the overall product
  • Review and analyze released engineering change data and coordinate changes with engineering, quality, support, manufacturing, and engineering data control activities
  • Review change accounting activity to ensure compliance with configuration management policies
  • Ensure that customer requirements are implemented
  • Prepare metrics and various status reports
  • Perform CDRL deliveries
  • Administer program board meetings
  • Maintain HW/SW information in the program asset management system
  • Administer the contract media library
  • Create and maintain program plans and procedures

Basic Qualifications

Please note your updated security clearance and IAT/relevant certifications on your resume, if applicable.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or related discipline preferred from an accredited university and 5 years of related experience, or a Master’s degree in a related discipline and 3 years of experience, or 9 years of related experience instead of a degree may be considered
  • Minimum 5 years of Configuration and Data Management experience
  • Must have a current active in-scope DoD-issued Top Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% to support business needs
  • Extensive Hardware/Software Configuration Management, Engineering, and Data Management knowledge

Additional Northrop Grumman Information

Salary Range: $82,900.00 - $124,300.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
