Job summary

iManage is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to drive end-to-end technical initiatives for the core platform. You will partner with product, design, and research to shape what and how we build, while maintaining hands-on involvement across the SDLC.

The role emphasizes ownership, collaboration, and applying AI thoughtfully within daily engineering work, with a focus on scalable, cloud-native architectures and mentoring peers.

Qualifications

• Experience owning complex technical initiatives end to end.
• Hands-on experience delivering high-volume distributed systems and microservices.
• Proficiency in backend languages such as Java, .NET, and Python.
• Experience designing cloud-native systems at scale, preferably with Azure.
• Strong understanding of security, threat modeling, and modern CI/CD practices.

Responsibilities

• Own technical initiatives end to end from requirements to delivery.
• Apply product mindset to ensure business value beyond task completion.
• Design and implement cloud-native systems to enable scalability and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams and peers.
