- Design, implement, and operate cloud infrastructure for scalable, highly available AI-enabled and Agentic platforms
- Provision and manage cloud resources using Infrastructure as Code
- Monitor platform health through metrics, logs, dashboards, and alerts
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex cloud, distributed-system, and integration failures
- Develop automation and tooling in Python and shell scripting
- Implement and improve observability solutions
- Collaborate with application, data, and AI teams before and after releases
- Support CI/CD pipelines and safe, repeatable deployments
- Ensure secure cloud operations, including secrets management, access controls, encryption, and secure networking
- Apply AI literacy to understand agent lifecycles, orchestration, and non-deterministic execution
- Use AI-assisted tools for investigation, documentation, and optimization while validating outputs
- Maintain runbooks, platform documentation, and operational standards
- Participate in on-call rotations and serve as an escalation point during production incidents
- Perform other assigned duties
Requirements
- 10+ years of relevant work experience
- Bachelor's Degree preferred, or some combination of coursework and experience, or extensive related professional experience
- Cloud infrastructure engineering experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Kubernetes and container platform experience
- Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform, Packer, Ansible, or equivalent
- Python programming for automation and operational tooling
- Monitoring, logging, and alerting systems experience
- CI/CD tools and release automation experience
- Security fundamentals, including IAM, secrets management, encryption, and network security
- Strong systems thinking and operational ownership
- Adaptability and critical thinking
- AI literacy covering agent lifecycles, orchestration patterns, and non-deterministic execution behaviors
- Ability to participate in on-call rotations
- Preferred: production experience with AI, ML, or Agentic platforms; data and streaming platforms; PySpark, Databricks, or data pipelines; networking and protocol standards; HSMs or advanced key management; large-scale distributed systems; cloud cost optimization and performance tuning
Core Competencies
Demonstrates expertise in cloud infrastructure engineering, particularly with AWS, Azure, or GCP, and proficiency in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or Ansible.
