Position Description:

Develops applications within UNIX and Windows environments using design patterns within core Java. Designs and develops technical solutions for Amazon Web Service (AWS) and Azure. Automates with various scripting languages -- Python, Powershell scripting, Ansible, Application Programming Interface (API), and Stash. Develops software applications using HTML. Develops application and web servers -- Apache and .Net. Performs software deployments and migrations with programming languages such as C# in a DevOps environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Participates in architecture design discussion.
• Defines and implements platform level architecture.
• Develops data integration platform on complex projects, components, and subsystems for the division.
• Recommends data integration platform testing tools and methodologies and reviews and validates test plans.
• Responsible for QA readiness of software deliverables.
• Develops comprehensive documentation for entire data integration platform or subsystems.
• Establishes full project life cycle plans for complex projects across multiple platforms.
• Responsible for meeting project goals on-time and on-budget.
• Advises on risk assessment and risk management strategies for projects.
• Provides technology solutions to daily issues and technical evaluation estimates on technology initiatives.
• Advises senior management on technical strategy.
• Mentors junior team members.
• Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives.
• Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts.
• Liaises with Systems Administrators, UNIX, Network and DBAs, scheduling and implementing software patches and upgrades.
• Performs 24x7 production support.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and five (5) years of experience as a Principal Cloud Engineer (or closely related occupation) building and supporting Cloud native platforms that enable high availability and resiliency.

Or, alternatively, Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience as a Principal Cloud Engineer (or closely related occupation) building and supporting Cloud native platforms that enable high availability and resiliency.

Skills and Knowledge:

Candidate must also possess:

• Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) designing and developing enterprise Data Integration platform solutions using Amazon Cloud Computing Services (AWS).
• DE designing and administering enterprise wide Informatica platform infrastructure using Informatica and IICS.
• DE designing and developing with Infrastructure as code tools and Observability tools.
• DE designing and building highly complex Informatica premium tools-- Power Center, Data Quality, Test Data management, Metadata Manager, Analyst Service, Content Management, DVO, B2B, Power Exchange, and data transformation.
