Job summary

Object Oriented Search seeks a Principal Cloud Engineer to lead AWS Cloud Engineering and DevOps, partnering across Cybersecurity, Enterprise Systems, and Software Engineering in a high-visibility role.

You will steer technical strategy, hands-on design of multi-account AWS environments, and high-availability architectures. The role emphasizes Terraform, CI/CD, and advanced cloud-native platforms to enable scalable business outcomes.

Qualifications

• 10+ years leading cloud engineering or DevOps in enterprise environments.
• 7+ years hands-on AWS infra design across EC2, ECS, EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS/Aurora, DynamoDB, VPC, IAM, KMS, CloudFront, API Gateway, Route 53, CloudWatch, and CloudTrail.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/CE/IS or related.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and grow Cloud Engineering and DevOps teams by defining technical strategy, establishing engineering best practices and operational standards, managing performance and career development, and recruiting, hiring, and onboarding top engineering talent.
• Design, implement, and manage enterprise AWS cloud environments spanning multiple accounts using AWS Organizations, Control Tower, and landing zone architectures, ensuring high availability, security, scalability, and disaster recovery.
• Maintain a hands-on technical leadership role by developing and reviewing production-grade Terraform code, building CI/CD pipelines, troubleshooting production issues, optimizing infrastructure and database performance, and contributing maintainable code that supports long-term business objectives.
• Manage and enhance cloud compute and container platforms, including Amazon ECS, EKS/Kubernetes, EC2, Lambda, and other serverless technologies, while maintaining the supporting cluster management, ingress, observability, and security infrastructure.
• Produce documentation to aid in the understanding of existing architecture solutions

• Minimum 7 years of hands‑on experience designing, implementing, and managing AWS cloud infrastructure across core services, including EC2, ECS, EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS/Aurora, DynamoDB, VPC, IAM, KMS, CloudFront, API Gateway, Route 53, CloudWatch, and CloudTrail.
