Job description

Overview

Lead North America Cloud infrastructure Operations and provide guidance for application migration with the objective to improve operational efficiency, scalability and cost-effectiveness.

Responsible for overseeing the design, deployment, and maintenance of NA cloud infrastructure and ensuring compliance with security and regulatory standards.

Collaborate with other teams (Cloud Engineering, Global Cloud Ops) and stakeholders to align our cloud strategy with our business goals and customer needs.


Responsibilities

  • Manage and mentor a team of cloud Infrastructure SREs, providing technical leadership and direction.
  • Implement cloud infrastructure policies, standards, and best practices, ensuring NA Cloud environment adherence to security and regulatory requirements, Partnering with Global Cloud teams to implement.
  • Evaluate and recommend new cloud technologies and vendors, staying abreast of industry trends and innovations for NA business.
  • Oversee Design, deploy, and optimize cloud solutions for NA that meet the performance, availability, scalability, and reliability needs of our applications and services.
  • Drive troubleshooting NA cloud infrastructure issues, ensuring timely resolution and root cause analysis, partner with Global Cloud & Enterprise application teams.
  • Provide guidance and support for NA application migration, modernization, and transformation projects, leveraging cloud-native technologies and methodologies, partnering with Cloud Accelerate Value Office (CAVO).
  • Establish and maintain effective communication and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, including business leaders, developers, customers, and vendors.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • The expected compensation range for this position is between $118,700 - $198,800.
  • Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process.
  • Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 15% of annual salary paid out annually.
  • Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 10 years of experience in IT Cloud infrastructure, Architecture and operations, including security, with at least 2 years in a Technical leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud architecture, design, and deployment principles and practices, including microservices, serverless, containers, and DevOps.
  • Deep expertise in Azure cloud platform, including Azure DevOps, Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure Active Directory, Azure Monitor, and Azure Security Center.
  • Proficient in scripting and automation tools, such as PowerShell, Python, Terraform, and Ansible.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Certifications in Azure or other cloud technologies are preferred.
  • Strong self-organization, time management and prioritization skills
  • A high level of attention to detail, excellent follow through, and reliability
  • Strong collaboration, teamwork and relationship building skills across multiple levels and functions in the organization
  • Ability to listen, establish rapport, and credibility as a strategic partner vertically within the business unit or function, as well as with leadership and functional teams
  • Strategic thinker focused on business value results that utilize technical solutions
  • Strong communication skills in writing, speaking, and presenting
  • Capable to work effectively in a multi-tasking environment.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish language, Strong communication skills in both
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
  • Occasional travel (20%)
