Job summary

Unum is seeking a Principal Cloud Engineer to define and advance the organization's cloud architecture across AWS and Azure, with a focus on secure, scalable, cost-conscious solutions. You will mentor teams, drive DTO-aligned roadmaps, and champion Terraform, CI/CD, and FinOps practices.

You will collaborate with senior leaders to transform enterprise cloud capabilities, oversee landing zones, identity management, networking, observability, and disaster recovery, and push continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in CS/IT/Engineering.
• 8+ years of cloud experience designing and operating cloud environments.
• Industry certifications preferred (AWS/Azure/Terraform/Security).

Responsibilities

• Define and own enterprise cloud architecture across AWS/Azure.
• Translate cloud strategy into executable roadmaps and standards.
• Lead large-scale cloud migration and modernization initiatives.
• Mentor engineers and promote best practices in cloud/DevSecOps.
