Job summary

Leidos seeks an experienced Principal Civil Engineer to support national security missions in Reston, Virginia. You will lead reverse engineering, 3D modeling, and vulnerability assessments of complex facilities in denied-access environments, guiding critical decision-making.

Ideal candidates have deep experience in facility analysis, MEP systems, and structural integrity, with strong reporting and collaboration across government and contractor teams.

Qualifications

• Must possess in-scope TS/SCI Polygraph clearance and U.S. Citizenship.
• 15+ years of relevant experience with a Master’s degree; or 13+ years with a Doctorate.
• Experience in facility analysis, infrastructure vulnerability, and structural engineering in DoD/IC environments.

Responsibilities

• Reverse engineer and characterize complex industrial processes and facility designs to determine attributes and mission relevance.
• Evaluate subterranean and hardened facilities, including structural design and overburden.
• Develop accurate 3D facility models and simulate utilities and infrastructure.
• Identify vulnerabilities, single points of failure, and resilience against threat vectors.
• Assess workflows and infrastructure like HVAC, power, and structural integrity.
• Prepare engineering assessments and briefing materials per Intelligence Community standards.
