Job summary
Livingston Engineering in Michigan seeks a Principal Senior Civil Engineer to lead complex projects, mentor junior staff, and drive innovation. You will oversee design and approval for residential, commercial, and automotive work, including planning, entitlement services, site plan approval, and construction through project closeout.
The ideal candidate has a PE license in Michigan (or the ability to obtain), 10+ years in civil engineering with 6+ in leadership, and strong CAD/Civil 3D
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- PE license in Michigan or ability to obtain one.
- 10+ years in civil engineering with 6+ in leadership roles.
- Proficiency in CAD software, Civil 3D, and related tools.
Responsibilities
- Lead civil engineering projects from conception to completion.
- Develop and review designs, plans, specs, and cost estimates.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and standards.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project success.
- Mentor and supervise junior engineers and technical staff.
- Contribute to business development and maintain client relationships.
- Implement and maintain quality control processes.
- Stay current with industry trends and technologies.
