Our client has an immediate vacancy in their Gloucester office for an Experienced or Principal Civil Engineer. The candidate will ensure the quality and accuracy of the engineering are to the highest standard and will be responsible for the quality management of designs and the commercial performance of projects.

Our client is very active in the following areas:

• Commercial housing of all kinds
• Social housing
• Care homes
• Renewable energy projects – notably wind farms
• Industrial developments
• Remediation
• Commercial and industrial

They aspire to grow their presence in the rail sector. They have projects throughout the UK, mainly in South Wales and the South West of England. The role requires the candidate to be empathetic and supportive of staff working with their design team and confident in engaging with clients. The candidate will undertake technical design work and reporting, requiring good written and verbal communication skills. They should be highly competent in the design of drainage, highways, and civil infrastructure, familiar with adoption procedures for highway authorities and water utilities. Desirable skills include:

Qualifications:

• Must have a full UK driving license
• 8+ years of UK postgraduate work experience
• A civil engineering degree
• Chartered or nearly Chartered Engineer
