Qualifications

• Masters or Doctorate in Chemical Engineering or Polymer Materials Science (or equivalent).
• 10+ years of proven experience in connecting fundamental materials science with product application engineering.
• Strong leadership with mentoring and influencing across cross-functional teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in a multi-cultural setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and drive global Material Science project teams on complex and impactful innovation initiatives.
• Own the long-term compound research strategy and execution to achieve leadership in running performance technology.
• Lead with specialized knowledge of advanced materials and manufacturing processes to create new material innovations.
• Own the Materials Formulary and maintain the working plan for all key compounds under development.
• Build out partnerships with universities and critical materials suppliers for long-term leadership.
• Provide technical guidance, coaching, and training for the Material Science team.
• Participate in advanced research calendars and manage key innovation programs.
• Contribute to the Innovation roadmap and influence strategic product decisions.
• Travel internationally and domestically up to 30% as required.
