Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to drive the Cassandra platform across private and public clouds. You will build automation and self-service tooling, deliver a consumer-focused platform for JPMorganChase's critical systems, and guide engineering teams in AI-enabled development practices.

The role requires deep infrastructure engineering experience, expertise in Java, cloud environments, and strong collaboration with cross-functional teams to improve delivery speed and code

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on infrastructure engineering concepts.
• 10+ years applied experience in infrastructure engineering.
• Understanding of cloud, virtualization, APIs, and modern software languages.
• Experience with Java programming language.
• Familiarity with automation and configuration management tools like SaltStack and Ansible.
• Knowledge of DBRE concepts and large-scale software development.

Responsibilities

• Creates complex and scalable coding frameworks using appropriate software design frameworks.
• Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others.
• Collaborate with a skilled engineering team to develop automation and self-service tools for Cassandra across private and public clouds.
• Focus on delivering a consumer-driven, world-class Cassandra platform for JPMorganChase's critical systems.
• Architects and governs AI-enabled engineering workflows with guardrails for validation, security, resiliency, and reuse.
• Applies knowledge of SDLC tools, including enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation capabilities.
• Advises cross-functional teams on technological matters within domain of expertise.
• Contributes to the development of technical methods in specialized fields in line with the latest product development methodologies.
• Creates durable, reusable software frameworks leveraged across teams and functions.
• Influences leaders and senior stakeholders across business, product, and technology teams.
