Paylocity is seeking a Principal Business Planning & Operations Analyst to join our Office of the CISO team within the Information Security organization. This senior role will play a pivotal part in supporting the Identity Access Management (IAM) program and will be a key member of the Office of the CISO team. Our goal is to drive effective security program planning through the design, build, and operate functions. We aim to foster a security-conscious culture, support efficient business growth, and inspire innovation while reducing cyber risk and maintaining customer trust.

In this role, you will be involved in initiatives such as user access onboarding, identity lifecycle management/governance, secrets management, and privileged access management. You will collaborate with a team of engineers, architects and operations resources as we continue to expand the usage of IAM throughout the organization.

What You Will Do:

  • Lead the creation, maintenance, and improvement of team and department-level operating routines.
  • Develop executive-level content and presentations, and support meetings and event planning.
  • Coordinate and manage roadmaps across multiple information security programs especially IAM, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Collaborate with information security leaders to assist in the creation of annual goals, tool spend management, budget forecasting and team roadmaps.
  • Lead capacity planning, scoping, and scheduling exercises for enterprise-scale security and IAM initiatives.
  • Identify and implement automation solutions to streamline manual tasks within information security and IAM operations.
  • Drive the execution of multiple IAM initiatives, including producing regular status updates and resolving issues.
  • Collaborate with team members to create a streamlined work intake process for the Information Security department, ensuring efficient handling and prioritization of incoming tasks and projects.
  • Create and manage project plans, monitor progress, and adjust schedules as needed to ensure project success.
  • Coordinate project meetings, generate meeting materials, and produce post-meeting deliverables in JIRA.
  • Create comprehensive risk mitigation plans that address potential access related threats and vulnerabilities, leveraging advanced analytics and threat intelligence.
  • Fully understand the RBAC/ABAC lifecycle and help support role mining, role migration and enrollment of various target Applications.
  • Promote IAM principles and integrate them into the development cycle of our HCM product stack.
  • Document IAM security policy, procedure, design, and implement various IAM solutions in Confluence and other collaboration platforms.
  • Collaborate with internal customers, technical staff, business leaders, and executives to define and deliver complex features.
  • Perform a thorough cost-benefit analysis of both existing and new tools, evaluating the business value derived from their implementation. This includes assessing the financial impact, efficiency gains, and overall contribution to the organization's security posture.
  • Plan integration techniques for IAM solutions with cloud platforms like AWS and Azure AD, ensuring seamless and secure access management.
  • Lead efforts to identify and plan implementation of advanced automation solutions to reduce manual tasks and improve the efficiency of IAM operations.
  • Regularly generate and analyze security metrics, including Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and Service Level Objectives (SLOs), to support data-driven decision-making.

  • Ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities with little to no supervision.

Required Experience:

  • Individual contributor within at least 10 years of industry experience in the IAM.
  • At least 5 years of experience supporting the implementation of SailPoint IIQ, File Access Manager, CyberArk, Active Directory or equivalent IAM solutions.
  • Ability to understand and utilize Directory Services as both a connected app and internal configuration of IAM platforms.
  • Proven experience in regulated environments with adherence to regulatory compliance standards such as SOX, PCI-DSS, SOC1, SOC2 and alignment with frameworks like ISO 27001 and NIST CSF.
  • Direct experience supporting user access certification, identity lifecycle such as joiner-mover-leaver, Active Directory management and privilege access management.
  • Deep knowledge and passion for business process excellence, scalability, and agility in the entire IAM landscape.
  • Experience working with cloud platforms and technologies such as AWS, Azure AD, Containers, GitHub, TeamCity, Octopus, etc.
  • Hands-on experience working with data visualization tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, etc.
  • Highly proficient in various collaboration platforms such as Confluence, JIRA and ServiceNow.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information security, management information systems, or a related field.
  • Master’s degree in a related field is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve high performance goals and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in managing or supporting IAM solutions like SailPoint IIQ, CyberArk, File Access Manager, Azure AD etc.
  • Ability to stay measured and composed under difficult circumstances.
  • Ability to work in an Agile SDLC methodology.
