QTS Data Centers is seeking a Principal, Business & Financial Analyst - Energy and Utility to drive strategic investment decisions through rigorous analysis and forecasting. You will lead complex cash flow models, assess power requirements, and influence senior stakeholders with clear recommendations.

In this role, you partner with engineering, finance and real estate teams to shape the company's energy initiatives and value creation.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to perform data analytics and financial modeling for large-scale energy projects.
• Experience in risk analysis and assessing strategic investments.
• Strong communication with executive teams and cross-functional partners.

Responsabilités

• Conduct due diligence on energy/utility investments within the portfolio.
• Create detailed cash flow models for projects and opportunities.
• Perform cost/benefit analyses to inform capital allocation decisions.
• Collaborate with legal, engineering, finance, and real estate teams.
• Support senior leadership with data-driven recommendations and dashboards.
• Lead cross-functional analyses to evaluate portfolio risk and value creation.

Join our investments team as a Principal, Business & Financial Analyst - Energy and Utility to help manage and guide our industry-leading energy and utility initiatives. You have keen skills in data analytics, financial modeling, risk analysis, and technology, along with the ability to lead through influence and communicate with an executive team.

The Impact You Will Have

As the Principal, Business & Financial Analyst - Energy and Utility, you will have a direct impact on our growth and value creation by aiding QTS stakeholders to make impactful decisions with data and keen attention to detail. You will partner with internal and external stakeholders at QTS by providing complex analysis, risk assessments, and recommendations to lead the organization towards future success.

What You Will Do

• Conduct due diligence on projects to assess their value and risk profile in the context of the broader portfolio.
• Create, where necessary, complex, detailed cost models to assess the opportunity (as it relates to power requirements).
• Conduct financial analysis with detailed cash flow models to assess investment opportunities.
• Create a detailed cash flow model that can be used as a template for projects.
• Collaborate with legal teams to review, draft, and maintain legal documentation required for transactions, including contracts and agreements.
