Job summary

You will lead independent and collaborative efforts, mentor junior scientists, and contribute to publications and IP. PhD in bioinformatics or related field with 9+ years experience is expected; travel ~5% may be required.

Qualifications

• PhD in bioinformatics, computational biology, computer science, mathematics, or related field.
• 9+ years of industry or academia experience in bioinformatics.
• 8+ years in molecular diagnostics, medical device/IVD/LDT development.
• Experience developing statistical and quantitative methods.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Provide expert knowledge in bioinformatics and guide complex analyses across projects.
• Lead planning, design, and execution of large-scale molecular diagnostic development efforts.
• Mentor junior scientists and contribute to publications and IP documentation.
• Present data-driven outcomes to senior management and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance product development.

Education

PhD in bioinformatics, computational biology, computer science, mathematics, or related field

9+ years of industry or academia experience in bioinformatics

8+ years of experience in molecular diagnostics, medical device/IVD/LDT development

Demonstrated experience developing statistical and quantitative methods

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
