Qualifications

• PhD in bioinformatics, computational biology, computer science, mathematics, or related field; or Master’s degree in bioinformatics, computational biology, computer science, mathematics, or related field plus 4 years of experience in lieu of PhD.
• 9+ years of industry or academia experience in bioinformatics.
• 8+ years of experience in molecular diagnostics, medical device/IVD/Laboratory Developed Tests (LDT) development, biotech, or life science.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert knowledge of scientific principles and concepts on extremely complex projects.
• Plan, recommend, and lead activities that account for prioritization of goals.
• Train, guide, and mentor junior bioinformatics scientists.
