DigiCert seeks a Principal Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services powering our next-generation trust and identity platforms. You will collaborate with product managers, architects, and UX teams to deliver high-quality software that meets enterprise-class performance, reliability, and security standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of backend software development experience.
• Strong Java and Spring/Spring Boot experience with RESTful services.
• Experience with relational (MySQL, MariaDB) and NoSQL databases.
• Cloud experience (AWS, Azure) and Kubernetes with Docker containers.
• Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD, Agile, and unit testing.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product managers, UX designers and architects on requirements.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend services.
• Write clean, maintainable code following best practices.
• Conduct code reviews to improve quality and consistency.
• Troubleshoot defects and provide timely customer solutions.
• Stay current with technologies and contribute to architecture decisions.
