Job description

A leading, enterprise level Insurance Services company located in Plano, Texas is looking to hire a DevOps Engineer on a Contract-to-Hire basis. This company provides unique products and services that offer valued liquidity and trusted solutions, including the financing and purchasing of alternative assets and comprehensive administration services for owners of alternative assets.

They are looking for an AWS DevOps Engineer who would be responsible for designing and implementing cloud-based solutions according to best practices and standards. This position will sit on their Machine Learn team, helping to education their ML Engineer about DevOps methodologies. Ideally, they are looking for someone skilled with AWS plus has solid understanding of AWS Neptune and SageMaker. If you have ever worked with GCP Vertex AI, than that is a large plus.

Again, this is slated as a 9+ month contract-to-hire role. Will be onsite 4 days in their Plano office. Pay rate will be between $75-90 / hr for the contract duration.

Required Skills :

• 8+ years of IT industry experience
• 3+ years of professional experience with using a broad range of AWS technologies (., VPC, EC2, Lambda, Cognito, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, SQS, API Gateway, and KMS) to develop and maintain an AWS based cloud solution
• ML background and with SageMaker, Neptune, and / or Vertex AI experience.

Desired Skills :

• Experience with ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, and Beats) and other monitoring tools
• Scripting experience in python, bash, etc.
• Experience with AWS step functions and the ability to develop automated workflows for CI / CD and other repetitive tasks
