Job summary

EOS IT Solutions is seeking a Principal Architect for Network Services to guide application teams within established architectures and standards. The role spans routing/switching, load balancing, firewalls, proxies, DNS/DDI, and requires collaboration with developers across multiple teams.

The candidate will translate requirements into scalable network designs, produce both high-level and detailed designs, and mentor network engineers in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of experience in network engineering or architecture.
• Broad expertise across routing, switching, firewalls, load balancing, proxies, DNS/DDI.
• Strong understanding of modern application architectures and connectivity flows.
• Ability to translate application needs into scalable network solutions.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to face off with developers.
• Experience developing standards and reference architectures.

Role Summary

We are seeking a Principal Architect for Network Services who will understand existing engineering standards and reference architectures. The ideal candidate will guide application teams to operate within established architectures and standards but where warranted will understand why deviations are necessary and be able to articulate these back to Architecture and engineering teams for approval. The ideal candidate is broad in skillset-experienced across routing/switching, load balancing, firewalls, proxies, DNS/DDI and comfortable engaging directly with application developers.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:

• 7-10 years experience in network engineering or architecture.
• Broad expertise in routing, switching, firewalls, load balancing, proxies, DNS/DDI.
• Strong understanding of modern application architectures and connectivity flows.
• Ability to translate application needs into scalable network solutions.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to face off with developers.
• Experience developing standards and reference architectures.

DESIRABLE CRITERIA:

• CCNP/CCIE or equivalent certifications.
• Experience with cloud networking and hybrid connectivity.
• Familiarity with Zero Trust, microservices, service mesh.
• Experience guiding standards adoption across diverse teams.
