Job summary

Palo Alto Networks is seeking a Distinguished Engineer for Endpoint Engineering to be the chief architect and technical authority for the access agent platform across GlobalProtect, Prisma Access Agent, ADEM, and more, spanning Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, and Android.

You will lead the evolution of our endpoint portfolio into a unified, high-performing platform foundation, defining shared networking, IPC, and telemetry layers, and embedding AI-native defect verification and smart telemetry into

Qualifications

Seasoned leadership in endpoint systems development and OS-level software.
Track record of defining cross-team architecture adopted across multiple product groups.
Deep OS internals across Windows, macOS, and Linux.
Experience decomposing complex C/C++ codebases into modular components.
Strong communication to align engineers and executives behind architectural shifts.

Responsibilities

Define the Platform Architecture for a modular, high-performance core for networking, crypto, configuration, and telemetry.
Establish secure seams & extensions across platforms with localized plugin models.
Own the endpoint architecture, standardizing identity, error handling, and memory safety.
Pioneer AI-native workflows, automated crash triage, and telemetry in the release pipeline.
Set engineering standards and represent our technical strategy with customers and partners.
