Google seeks a senior leader for customer-architect roles in Raleigh, NC, with hybrid work options. The role focuses on architecture across distributed cloud systems, stakeholder communications, and delivering quantified value to customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Business Strategy, Business Consulting or related field with 10 years of post-baccalaureate experience in a Customer Architect-related occupation.
• Alternative: Master’s degree in same fields with 8 years of relevant experience.
• 8 years in architecture and design of distributed cloud-based systems, cloud computing across apps/infrastructure/storage/platforms/data, solution identification linking objectives to value, stakeholder presentations, and data management.

Responsibilities

• Build trusted advisory relationships with C-level executives and key stakeholders to identify priorities and design enterprise-wide strategies across Google’s ecosystem.
• Recommend integration strategies and enterprise architectures to implement solutions while promoting best practices for Google Cloud effectiveness.
• Lead cross-functional teams and collaborate with product management to govern cloud strategies and manage holistic enterprise relationships.

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Strategy, Business Consulting or a related field and 10 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or in a Customer Architect-related occupation.
• Alternatively, will accept a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Strategy, Business Consulting or a related field, and 8 years of experience in the job offered or in a Customer Architect-related occupation.
• Position requires 8 years of experience in the following: Architecture and design of highly distributed global cloud-based systems; Cloud computing across applications, infrastructure, storage, platforms, or data; Solution identification linking customer objectives to quantified value; Technical presentation to stakeholders and executive leaders; and Data and information management regarding big data trends.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $153,000 - $222,000 + 42.86% bonus target + equity + benefits determined by role, level, and location. Position reports to the Google office & may allow for a hybrid schedule per Google policy.

Responsibilities

• Build trusted advisory relationships with C-level executives and key stakeholders to identify priorities and design comprehensive strategies across the Google ecosystem.
• Recommend integration strategies and enterprise architectures to successfully implement solutions while providing best practices that optimize Google Cloud effectiveness.
• Lead cross-functional teams and collaborate with product management to manage holistic enterprise architecture relationships and govern cloud strategies.
• Partner with Value Engineering to articulate the total value of technical solutions and drive business growth through pipeline development and revenue generation.
• Empower partners to drive successful pilots and migrations while removing technical barriers to secure client wins and expand opportunities. Provide domain expertise around public cloud technology by promoting solutions at industry conferences and traveling to customer sites as required.
