Job summary

WPS Health Solutions seeks a Principal Application Security Analyst to build and operate the enterprise application security program, reducing risk by enforcing secure-development standards and strengthening developer practices. This senior role guides testing activities, communicates findings, and collaborates with Cyber Trust & Architecture to implement standards.

Hybrid work within Wisconsin is encouraged; in-office presence near Madison may be required.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship is required due to DoD restrictions.
• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or related field or equivalent.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in application security or related security discipline.
• Hands-on experience with application-security testing technologies (SAST/DAST) and translating standards into guidance.
• Proficient knowledge of common vulnerabilities and attack techniques, e.g. auth, injection, session management, API security.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate WPS's enterprise Application Security program across the SDLC.
• Operate testing tools and triage findings, distinguishing exploitable weaknesses.
• Translate standards into practical developer guidance and testing criteria.
• Provide reporting to technical, managerial, and executive audiences.
• Partner with Cyber Trust & Architecture and Manager, Cyber Threat Management on priorities.
