This position will be part of the Advertiser Growth organization within Sponsored Products. Our team focuses on launching GenAI initiatives that help advertisers create and manage performant SP campaigns. We develop AI powered experiences to help advertisers use advertising effectively and develop state-of-art ML based optimization services to represent our advertisers in the SP marketplace. We strive to improve the ability for advertisers to help shoppers discover relevant products on customer search, browse and detail pages.

Key job responsibilities

1. Seek to understand in depth the Sponsored Products offering at Amazon and identify areas of opportunities to grow our business using GenAI, LLM, and ML solutions.
2. Mentor and guide the applied scientists in our organization and hold us to a high standard of technical rigor and excellence in AI/ML.
3. Design and lead organization-wide AI/ML roadmaps to help our Amazon shoppers have a delightful shopping experience while creating long term value for our advertisers.
4. Work with our engineering partners and draw upon your experience to meet latency and other system constraints.
5. Identify untapped, high-risk technical and scientific directions, and devise new research directions that you will drive to completion and deliver.
6. Be responsible for communicating our Generative AI/ Traditional AI/ML innovations to the broader internal & external scientific community.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

1. PhD in Computer Science, Statistics or related field.
2. 8+ years of applied AI/ML experience in deploying ML solutions to customer facing products.
3. 2+ years hands-on experience leading multiple ML teams to design products that satisfy a customer need.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

1. Track record of delivering large-scale and high-quality ML solutions.
2. Experience in taking on & using ML to deliver on business goals.
3. Experience in shipping GenAI/LLM models.
4. Experience partnering with engineering teams to ensure AI/ML solutions meet latency requirements.
5. Experience in influencing product strategy through product innovation and research.
6. Evidence of producing internal or external publications that motivate new lines of research.
7. Excellent verbal and written communication.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $179,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $309,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
