Job summary

RTX is seeking a Principal Antenna Design Engineer for a remote, part‑time role in the US. You will drive development of ultra‑wideband antennas and LO technologies, lead design teams, and perform advanced EM modeling. A DoD Secret clearance is required for this role.

Ideal candidates will have deep RF experience, strong leadership, and the ability to deliver sensor‑level solutions across radar, EW, and communications domains. Travel is minimal.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in STEM with 8+ years RF engineering experience.
• Experience with RCS modeling, prediction, measurement, or reduction.
• Design, fabrication, and test of antennas, phased array apertures, or RF passive components.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership on design, modeling, realization, and verification of advanced antennas and LO structures.
• Lead EM analysis and architecture trades for complex RF systems.
• Model antenna performance and RCS using full‑wave tools (HFSS, CST, FEKO, SENTRi, X‑Patch).
• Collaborate with systems engineering to define RF and RCS requirements and verification plans.
• Mentor engineers and present findings to leadership and customers.
