Placements24 seeks a Principal Analytical Chemist to lead challenging analytical work at their R&D hub in Welkom. You will develop, validate and implement advanced analytical methods to ensure product quality, purity and performance.

You will mentor a team of analytical chemists, troubleshoot instruments, and ensure adherence to GMP/GLP standards while collaborating with R&D, manufacturing and QA to address analytical needs.

Qualifications

• PhD required in Analytical Chemistry or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience in analytical method development and validation.
• Experience leading analytical projects and mentoring scientific staff.
• Strong regulatory knowledge in GMP/GLP environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop, validate, and transfer analytical methods using HPLC, GC, MS, ICP, and spectroscopy.
• Perform complex chemical analyses to support product development and quality control.
