Western Alliance Bank is seeking a Principal Analyst I to lead API governance, data quality, and reporting initiatives in Columbus, OH. You will own governance metrics, drive remediation, and partner with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate API inventory and governance reporting spanning ServiceNow CMDB, MuleSoft, Azure API Management, and related systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• 8+ years of related experience.
• Leadership experience preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.
• Advanced to expert in process and data analysis within one or two domains with deep critical thinking.
• Experience as SME across one or two domains.

Responsibilities

• Lead analysis and governance activities for the Enterprise API Governance Program.
• Analyze and reconcile API inventory, metadata, and ownership information across enterprise systems.
• Develop and communicate governance KPIs, KRIs, and operational metrics.
• Perform root-cause analysis of governance and data-quality issues and propose improvements.
• Execute governance processes across the API lifecycle, including onboarding and reviews.
• Collaborate with API Engineering, Architecture, Security, Risk, and Platform teams to remediate findings.
• Maintain governance procedures, documentation, and audit evidence.
• Track governance findings and remediation efforts with timely escalation.
• Present governance insights and risks to leadership and stakeholders.
