• Salary Range: $140,000 – $170,000 / year
• Citizenship Requirement: Must be a US Citizen (No dual citizenship per government regulations).

Role Summary

The Principal Analysis Engineer leads the analysis team and performs static and dynamic stress analysis on products across the engineering department. This role oversees the evaluation of failure modes, recommends design solutions to mitigate qualification/deployment risks, manages team workload, and supports corporate bids, proposals, and software budgeting.

Key Responsibilities

• Analysis & Modeling: Perform static and dynamic stress analysis using FEA tools (Abaqus, Optistruct, Hypermesh, LS-DYNA). Oversee the creation of custom supplemental analysis tools.
• Team Leadership: Manage analysis team workload, ensure proper staff training, and oversee department software budgeting.
• Technical Reporting: Develop and review comprehensive analysis reports, failure mode evaluations, and recommended design modifications.
• Business Support: Assist with technical writing for corporate needs, bids, and proposals.

Qualifications

Required

• Education: Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience: 10+ years of static and dynamic stress analysis experience using FEA solvers (or 5+ years directly related to company products).
• Core Technical: Expert understanding of static and dynamic analysis theories.

Preferred

• Doctorate (Ph.D.) in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience with DoD product development for ground combat, marine, or aircraft platforms.
• Analysis experience with composite materials.
