Systemstechnologyresearch is seeking a Principal Engineer in Dayton, Ohio, to develop advanced algorithms for radar and electronic warfare technologies. In this role, you will engage directly with customers to understand their national security needs and lead multi-disciplinary teams to craft effective solutions.
Ideal candidates should have a BS, MS, or PhD in a relevant field and at least 10 years of relevant experience, with expertise in signal processing, machine learning, and programming languages like MATLAB and Python. The position is full-time with a competitive salary range of $206,000 to $284,000.
The Electronic Warfare and Novel Capabilities Group (EWNC) develops and delivers advanced signal processing algorithms and prototype systems for next-generation radar and electronic warfare technologies. EWNC fosters a culture of innovation and collaboration. We investigate cutting edge technologies and interface with engineers across sectors and divisions at STR and researchers at academic institutions and industry partners to develop practical and effective solutions to RF sensing and counter‑sensing challenges.
We are looking for a Principal Engineer to develop state‑of‑the‑art algorithms and techniques for sense making and sensor decision making, from signal detection and classification, to electronic support measures, attack, and protection, to cognitive EW and more. You will lead projects and proposal efforts, lead and advise fellow researchers, scientists, and engineers on multi‑disciplinary teams spread across multiple STR campuses. You will seek to understand customer missions, and in turn, construct proposal and program plans to meet their current and future needs.
Full‑Time Salary Range: $206,000 - $284,000
The salary range listed is based on external market data. Offers are based on factors, such as but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, education, training, key skills/critical skills, security clearances, and prevailing market and business conditions.
