Job summary

RS&H is seeking a Principal Engineer to join our Aviation Practice in Oakland, CA. You will lead airport projects, provide integrated design services with a regional team, and manage client relationships across airports, airlines, FAA, and other tenants.

The role offers opportunities to advance professionally and deliver projects ranging in size and complexity while aligning with RS&H’s values of integrity, accountability, curiosity and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of experience, with 4 years in civil design of airport facilities.
• PE registration or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Bachelor's or Master's in Civil Engineering from ABET university.
• Strong client management and business development skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Valid driver's license.
• Knowledge of architecture, master planning and environmental planning in airports.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop and deliver airport projects of varying sizes and complexity.
• Initiate and maintain client contact and help win work.
• Coordinate with airports, airlines, FAA and tenants.
• Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget and to client satisfaction.
• Provide design and technical leadership for runway, taxiway and apron projects.
